Introduction to Eye Emergencies
Eye emergencies are diseases or eye problems that occur suddenly within 24 to 48 hours and cause vision loss, pain, redness, burning, discharge, double vision, or eye protrusion.
The Aftab Eye Hospital Eye Emergency Department is staffed by ophthalmologists 24 hours a day to provide emergency services to patients and specialized consultations to other medical centers.
In this center, all outpatient services are provided including the removal of foreign objects, treatment of chemical or thermal burns to the eye, superficial sutures, medications, and follow-up of the patient’s condition, until to achieve sufficient results.
Patients who need to be hospitalized and operated on after the initial examination will be prepared for surgery on the same day or the next day, with the consent of the doctor and after placing an eye shield and prescribing the necessary medications.
If necessary, additional surgeries and consultations with specialized services can be performed. All facilities and equipment related to these services and services are available at the Aftab Eye Hospital.
